The Alabama Port Authority harnesses more than 15,000 miles of inland and intracoastal waterways—and operates eight strategic ports along Alabama’s river systems—to deliver efficient, far-reaching cargo movement. In collaboration with a broad network of economic development partners, we help move cargo seamlessly from the Port of Mobile through interconnected waterway systems spanning multiple states. This expansive, multimodal network links inland producers and manufacturers across the U.S. and into Canada, strengthening supply chains, expanding market access, and driving long-term economic growth.
