Connecting Alabama to Global Markets with Seamless Intermodal Solutions

Alabama’s rail network powers the seamless, efficient flow of cargo to and from the Port of Mobile. From the Intermodal Container Transfer Facility (ICTF) in Mobile, containers can reach Chicago in just three days—delivering the speed, reliability, and connectivity today’s shippers demand.

Looking ahead, the new ICTF, scheduled to come online in 2027, will further accelerate cargo movement and expand Alabama’s reach to markets nationwide. Together with Terminal Railway Alabama State Docks (TASD), these facilities form the backbone of Alabama’s intermodal infrastructure—positioning the Port of Mobile as a premier gateway for containerized trade.
