Chief Engineering Officer
Jason Krick serves as Chief Engineering Officer for the Alabama Port Authority, where he oversees capital planning, engineering, and infrastructure projects that support the Port’s long-term growth and operational needs. He works with teams across the organization to deliver capital improvements that enhance capacity, maintain critical assets, and support the Port’s strategic objectives.

Jason brings more than 25 years of engineering and leadership experience in the delivery of complex infrastructure programs. Before joining the Alabama Port Authority, he served as Chief of the Engineering Division for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, where he led a multidisciplinary team of 192 professionals responsible for military, civil works, and environmental engineering programs with an annual portfolio of approximately $1.5 billion. In 2025, he was recognized as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Civilian of the Year.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of South Alabama and a Master of Science in Risk Management from Notre Dame of Maryland University. Jason is a licensed Professional Engineer in Alabama and has extensive experience in engineering management, capital program delivery, and infrastructure planning.

A Mobile resident since 1998, Jason and his wife, Laci, are the proud parents of four daughters.
